For the longest time, Apple required you to use their native apps for everything. In the case of email, it was Apple Mail and in the case of browser it was always Safari. Well, I’m happy to say that with the iOS14 update you can now change your default email and browser apps.

1. Go to your settings on your iOS device.

2. Scroll down to the 3rd party apps and locate Gmail (email client) and Chrome (web browser).

3. Select one of them and then when you are in the app settings you will see something that says “Default Email App” and “Default Browser App”.

4. Tap that option and then change the apps to be the one you want to use and open whenever you compose an email or open a new browser page.
